NOMEX Covered Rectangular/Flat Aluminum Wire:
Nomex Paper wrapped aluminum wire is a winding wire made of oxygen free copper rod or electrical round aluminum rod extruded by a standard mold and wrapped with t410 Nomex insulating paper produced by DuPont. It is mainly used for windings of transformers, welding machines, electromagnets or other similar electrical equipment. The electrical bare copper (aluminum) wire produced by extrusion process is an ideal material for producing Nomex Paper clad wire.
NOMEX covering corresponds to class H insulation is mainly used in the construction of condensers and capacitors. Main application of it is in shielding of cables in high temp. environment (200°C) such as dry type transformers, military and aerospace cables. NOMEX covered conductors are more effective in condition where temperature resistance and dielectric strength requirements are high.
By extrusion of bare aluminum wire wrapped and NOMEX Paper covered wire, the mechanical performance and electrical performance better, instead of making difficult composite enameled flat wire, suitable for transformer, winding of lifting electromagnet, electric welding machine and other products.

Advantages of NOMEX Covered Copper /Aluminum Wire:
Because Nomex Paper has high electrical, chemical and mechanical integrity, good elasticity, flexibility, tear resistance, moisture resistance and wear resistance, and is very acid-base corrosion resistant, it will not be damaged by insects, molds and fungi. It can be compatible with all kinds of varnishes, adhesives, transformer liquids, lubricants and refrigerants. In addition, Nomex Paper has high heat resistance. Even if the temperature is as high as 220 ℃, it still maintains its original insulation performance, The transformer with Nomex Paper wrapped wire can bring a lot of economic, environmental and safety benefits to customers.
Reduce cost, size and weight
For transformers insulated with Nomex products, the temperature rise can be designed to 180 ℃, requiring less wires and iron cores, which can reduce the size and weight, thus reducing the capital construction cost and facilitating installation. A small iron core also means a small no-load loss;
Improve reliability
The transformer winding is wrapped with Nomex Paper, which maintains excellent electrical and mechanical properties during the whole service life of the transformer. The Nomex Paper has good shrinkage resistance, compression resistance, elasticity, good resistance to aging, and good resistance to thermal shock. Therefore, it can ensure that the transformer coil structure is compact and will not crack. In addition, the Nomex insulation paper is insensitive to temperature and dust, which improves the reliability of the transformer.
Increase standby capacity
Nomex Paper has a high heat-resistant temperature. Even when the temperature is as high as 220 ℃, it still retains its original insulation performance. In the design of the transformer, class C 220 ℃ insulation material is used as class H 180 ℃, which can cope with emergency overload load and unexpected capacity expansion, which can greatly reduce the backup plan.
Good environmental performance
Nomex insulation materials have stable chemical properties, are safe, flame retardant and radiation resistant, and will not release toxic gases even in case of fire; It does not react with solvents and is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. When its service life ends, it is easy to recycle, resources can be reused, wastes can be degraded, and will not cause pollution to the environment. It is an environmental friendly high-tech product.
